Our local supplier in Fremantle, lovely people.

Updated: Dec 23, 2019

So what have I been up to?

Seeking out bargains to resupply the yacht in other words victualling.

Salvatore Galati has been a real gentleman in helping to supply the RTW Clipper yachts with fresh fruit and vegetables He can be found at the family business 19 Wray Avenue, Fremantle.

He is in the photo with my crew mate, Sue.

Check out his family history

His next door neighbour is Frank the butcher. Another star who supplied the meats for the yachts. Check out Franks story.

Local supermarkets ALDI, Woolworths and IAG are just a few of the other shops that have helped resupply the yachts.

Many of the individuals I have met are very interested in the RTW Clipper Race and eager to help. The Fremantle Sailing Club https://www.fsc.com.au/ has been fantastic so friendly.

However the promotion of the Clipper Race has been non existent locally. The opportunities for tourism, economic growth and education have all been missed on this visit.

Come on Western Australia 🇦🇺 sailing is a fantastic activity to promote and what better way to do it than through the RTW Clipper Race.

The Round The World Yacht Race returns in 18 months let’s see what you can do 😉
