It was still a surprise how long it took us under sail and engine power to arrive in port, another 2 days

Once in port we had to deep cleaning the boat which is a major undertaking. Yacht emptied of everything and cleaned from top to bottom 2 days at least. Then the victualing shopping for 20. No fun in this process.

A number of hours shopping, get rid of all packaging and labels from tins. Mark the tins and goods,  double bag rice, flour jars etc. Divide into days rations for the whole trip (34 days) and emergency bags. Then pack onto the boat. 2 days work at least.

Then to complicate matters further we had to have our generator changed at the same time as trying to put the goods on the boat. Oh deep joy!
